The province of Isfahan with it`s capital city Isfahan is located in the center of Iran. The city is situated in the lush Zayande rud plain at the foothills of the Zagros mountain range. Isfahan has a mild climate and a average rain fall in very low (60 to 100 mm. per year), but Zayanderud river which rises from the eastern slopes of the Zagros range of mountains, has given beauty and prosperity to the city and suburbs. Isfahan is a self sufficient city from the view point of agriculture and industries.
