Iran & Nuclear Energy

During these days, I have received a large number of emails about Iran and nuclear energy. Some bodies who decide to visit Iran in this year are worry about Iran, Iranians, and United nation sanctions about Iran. So today I decide to write about Iranian Atomic Energy.
Since 1969, Iran started its nuclear knowledge and after Islamic revolution Iran became a member of NPT. As you know the members of NPT are promise to have nuclear energy without its destructive use such as nuclear weapons. And whenever the NPT council would like, can visit their nuclear sites. But unfortunately there are much unreal news about Iran and our nuclear activities. I believe the best way to get some real news about Iran is some of the Iranian English web logs. Because most of them are free and do not have to support any other's benefits so they can write more clear and real. The U.S.A because of some things and some benefits that wiling to achieve in Middle East try to show that Iran are trying to make the nuclear weapons while in the Middle East somewhere near us there is a country that have nuclear weapons and are trying to expand them. Yes the country is Israel. Nobody cares about it and try to stop it . . . neither Israel nor U.S.A is members of NPT.
So do not worry about Iran and Iranians when ever you `d like you can come and visit our country and enjoy your trip.

Israel's president doesn't claim that it is his main mission to "wipe off from the map" any country. Your president, however, has made it clear that his purpose is the destruction of Israel.
So, tell me, as an Israeli, what am I to think?

I am sorry to say that your analysis of the Iranian nuclear issue is very native and superficial (basically repeating Iranian regime , i.e. "mullahs" propaganda. I think mullahs are feeling increasingly insecure and desperate. They know their days in power are numbered, they think having nuclear power gives them power to stay and suppress the Iranian people who are getting increasingly fed up with stone aged mullahs. Just like all the despots in the history, they are headed to hell soon and nothing can save these blood thirsty, animals from eternal annihilation.

Hey Paul,
Don't forget that Ayatollah, himself is the master of deception. In fact Khomeini (the founder of regime) said when it comes to survival of regime anything goes .
Now how do you suppose world learned for the very first time about the clandestine Iranian nuclear program (while they were supposedly a member of NPT!!)? It was through revelations of Iranian opposition group (moujahedin) and Lybia (which was also paying millions to Pakistani nuclear scientist (khan) to obtain know how and equipment to develope nuclear bomb, just like the Ayathollah). So don't be surprised if Ayatollah gets up one morning and claim "God has spoken to him that now the "un-islamic" nuclear bomb is needed to defend Muslims against infidels".
The fact of matter is that if Iran were a democracy and had a democratic government, world would not have been so alarmed they having nuclear know how; It is a religious dictatorship run by bunch of fanatic Ayatollahs that cannot be trusted.
Look at two Koreas, the north is a ruthless dictatorship that feels it needs nuclear bomb to protect itself, while its people are starving to death every single day, then you have a democracy in the south that didn't think it needed nuclear bomb and its people are now one of the most prosperous in the world.
In short, don't put your trust in dictatorships, only true democracies

Anon (9:31 PM) ... fact is though, YOUR country DOES have nukes even though they still to try to keep silent about it (the whole world knows of course), refuses to join the NPT - so where do you take the right from to deny others the same you have? Either ALL - or nobody, needless to say, I'd prefere the latter! Would YOUR country stop occupying Palestinian land and oppress the people in the most brutal way, give them their rights and thus possibility to live a decent life, a viable country according to UN-resolution 242, respect the Geneva Concention (I am talking ROR and prisoners of course), return the Golan Heights and simply behave civilized toward all neighbors (indeed, it would mean to give up a lot ... but you'd GET a lot as well - PEACE for example), the extremely high tension-level in your entire region would be drastically down and the wind would be out of the sails of the whole nuke-issue! In ONE point I can agree to the Iranian President ... Iran has the SAME rights like others. I agree as well though it was stupid to state the intention to wipe off Israel of the map" ... he really overdid it with that. Convince your politicians to change the situation in YOUR country, make peace with your neighbors, give the Palestinian people what is their legitimate right - and NOBBODY will threaten the bare existence of your country anymore!

Recently stumbled across your blog, and was intrigued.

I have been watching the Bush administration positioning themselves for war over the last number of months.

As a concerned global citizen, I am have become increasingly disturbed by the strident tones coming out of Washington and Teheran. I try to do my part, and regularly correspond with Americans online to try and change views.

A few current examples.

I think we are running out of time. We need Iranian English speakers to appeal directly to the American public through blogs and other forums, to ask them to dissuade the American government from attacking Iran.

You guys need to posting every day on multiple American blogs.

Like here : http://www.nonsensicalravingsbyj...i.blogspot.com/

or here :

The Iranian and American people need to talk to each other and basically cut Bush and Ahmadinejhad out of the picture.

Far too many Americans still view Iranians as deranged religious terrorists, you guys have got to change that view.

Interesting how you fail to realize what the Iranian leader has said in relation to Israel. I do not believe any country with such a radical and unforgiving diplomatic stance, such as "wiping Israel off the face of the map" Has any business possesing nuclear knowhow. Just because one does not believe in anothers' ideals, does not mean ANY human being does not deserve the same right to exist in peace and harmony as anyone else.

To 02:43 AM ...

... then how about the Palestinian population? They have rights too ... and don't get them! Don't talk about rights as long as (apparently) YOUR government gravely violates them!

It is very funny how western politicians contradict themselves when it comes to this issue. They say Iran is after nuclear weapons but it shouldn’t have nuclear weapons or we put sanction against it or use military force. So one can say even if they were to have nuclear weapons isn’t it double standard? why don’t you make a big fuss about the nukes in Pakistan or Israel. Then they say well because Iran is a dictatorship but then again so is Pakistan and if anything there nation seems to be much more radical and unhappy about the west and Israel but Mosharaf seems to be GW’s buddy. Then they say well Iran President has said that Israel should be wiped off the Map but others have not. Well he also said that Iran is not after nuclear weapons and is not planning to attack any country or nation in the word, then they say well their word doesn’t mean anything to us and it is worthless. But How come it is worthless it is their word that differentiate between Iran and Pakistan or Israel?

by coincidence icame to your blog and I think, I have to tell something.
First: I absolutly don't like anyone having nuclear weapons, neither the USA or Pakistan or Israel nor anyone else and that Iran, as member of the NPT should have the richt to use civil nuclear energy.
But can you actually believe someone telling he doesn't want nuclear weapons, if he also wants to "wipe Israel off of the map" and denys the Holocaust? Especially I, as I'm German,am horrified to hear anybody telling those things, as we don't only hear in history about KZ's and gas chambers but even have grandparents who were or could have been involved in those terrible crimes (actually not my grandparents, but you never know, how deep they really were in or how far they shared the opinions of the regime because they don't love to tell, they feel shame).
So statements like "holocaust didn't exist" remind me to a very dark chapter of German history and if Ahmadinedschad (don't know, if that's the right spelling) could get nuclear weapons, I'm afraid that he can become even worse than Hitler was. (If that's actually possible)

iran should be allowed to develop their own nuclear energy. no country should impede the technological progress of another.

i may be naive toward Iran and Persian culture, history, politics and life in general....yet i do know that PEOPLE IN IRAN ARE EDUCATED AND NOT DUMB ENOUGH TO START A NUCLEAR WAR.

give Iranians the right to produce nuclear energy...in return, Iranian government may open up to the international community.

also, where can I find orginal recipes for authentic Iranian food?? :)
