A response to "Three Hundred"

I was surfing on the net and found this web site. They are making a movie about Iranian Achaemenid kings and Greek kings at the same age. I think it is a response to the movie named "three hundred" …I hope they become successful and show the world ,the real Iranian face and civilization.

Thanks for pointing this film out. I am an American man who found himself trying to explain 300 to almost everyone I met on a recent trip to Iran. I don't know how it is in other cultures, but I think Americans need simple villains in their movies, and perhaps in their lives as well. Maybe if you grow up seeing movies and TV shows about "good guys" and "bad guys" you start to see the world that way. I wish every American would go to visit Iran and see how wonderful, kind, and welcoming the "bad guys" are!

I have never been to Iran, but have seen it in the distance from Iraq three times in my life. Here is a connection which provides links to a seven part series I posted on Iran. If you ever have the time and inclination, you might let me know what you think of it -

I have to admit that after reading this post, I am happy to discover that The Last Cyrus is coming out in response to 300. I really must agree with Tom because it just seems that Americans see things in such a black and white way, and in addition we accept so many things as is presented without thinking. Our culture is fairly de-sensitized to a lot of issues, so thank you again for bringing this film to our attention.
